P-T Curve Testing
Highlights
High-precision characterisation of transient pressure-time curves
For pyrotechnics performance evaluation and QA. Combines high-accuracy pressure sensing, high-speed synchronous acquisition and dedicated analysis software to obtain P-T curves inside closed bombs and measure key indicators such as peak pressure, burn time, delay time and heat of explosion.
Strict, traceable acceptance criteria: product acceptance relies on the P-T curve, peak pressure, delay time and action time, which must meet industry criteria and be traceably archived.
Extremely short action time: from initiation to peak pressure typically takes milliseconds to microseconds — slow-response instruments cannot reconstruct the full process.
One-shot destructive testing: each sample is consumed in a single shot and data cannot be redone, making trigger reliability and recording integrity the primary constraints.
Restricted test environment: tests run inside closed bombs or dedicated blast chambers, requiring remote control and long-distance data backhaul with no personnel nearby.
